BOSTON – University at Albany men's lacrosse student-athletes
Jackson Palumb and
Justin Lee each collected weekly awards from the America East, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Palumb was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week, Lee was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
Â
Palumb, a junior from East Syracuse, N.Y., found the back of the net four times in Saturday's thrilling game against the country's defending National Champions. His performance included a highlight-reel behind the back shot that caught the attention of fans around the country. He added one assist for five points, a career high.
Â
Lee was a part of a stellar defense that limited the dangerous Cornell attack to just 11 goals. The long-stick midfielder from Mississauga, Ontario, finished with a team-high three caused turnovers while adding four ground balls.
Â
The Great Danes return to action tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, Feb. 17) when the team hosts Penn for a weekday matinee at 3:00 p.m. from Casey Stadium. Tickets and parking passes for the game can be purchased by
