ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany Department of Athletics has announced that this year's Spring Stomp is taking on a new twist as "Greatful Danes Day," a special lacrosse doubleheader and community event scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium. The day features high-stakes America East lacrosse action alongside a free live concert by the Capital Region's premier Grateful Dead tribute band, The Wheel.
 
The festivities begin at noon as the women's lacrosse team hosts Bryant on Senior Day in a rematch of the 2025 America East Championship. While the Great Danes typically play at John Fallon Field, this championship rematch will move to Tom & Mary Casey Stadium to kick off the doubleheader. The Great Danes, who claimed the conference title in their last meeting with the Bulldogs, look to defend their home turf in this mid-season clash. Admission to the women's game is free for all fans.
 
Following the conclusion of the women's game, the celebration moves to the fan festival area located between Casey Stadium and Broadview Center. Local favorites "The Wheel" will take the stage for a special performance, bringing the spirit and classic hits of the Grateful Dead to the UAlbany campus. The concert is free and open to the public, serving as the perfect bridge between the afternoon and evening games.
 
The doubleheader concludes at 5:00 p.m. as the men's lacrosse team takes on archrival Vermont. One of the biggest rivalries in the America East, the matchup between the Great Danes and the Catamounts consistently carries postseason implications. With both programs historically contending for the league crown, this primetime meeting at Casey Stadium promises a high-intensity atmosphere to cap Greatful Danes Day.

While admission to the women's game and the live concert is free, parking fees will apply for all attendees. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase parking in advance online by clicking here to take advantage of discounted pre-game rates. Lots will open at 10:00 a.m. on April 11^th and your parking pass is valid for both games and the concert.
