Short Story: The University at Albany men's lacrosse team cruised past UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon for a 13-7 victory on the road, moving to a perfect 3-0 in America East play.

• Silas Richmond led the team with five points, scoring a hat trick in the first half.
• Will Hardy, Alex Pfeiffer, and Koleton Marquis all finished with two goals.
• Kevin Carney picked up three points on a goal and two assists.

How it Happened:  

• The River Hawks jumped out to a 1-0 advantage three minutes into the game on a goal from Griffin Sumwalt.
• UAlbany answered with a goal from Silas Richmond shortly after.
• The Great Danes rattled off two more goals midway through the first, scored by Luke Grove and Will Hardy, to make it 3-1.
• Richmond scored his second of the afternoon with 2:11 on the clock, and Brendan O'Keefe scored with just 12 seconds remaining to put UAlbany up 5-1 before the second quarter.
• UMass Lowell's Alex Lafreniere stopped UAlbany's five-goal run two minutes into the second.
• The Great Danes scored back-to-back goals midway through the second to push the lead to 7-2, thanks to Richmond and Koleton Marquis. Richmond's goal completed the first-half hat-trick.
• The River Hawks made it 7-3 with 4:41 on the clock on a goal from Danny Burke.
• Matthew Pettis scored his third of the season a minute before halftime to make it 8-3.
• The first goal of the third came three minutes in off the stick of Alex Pfeiffer.
• Koleton Marquis buried a quick pass from O'Keefe with 7:51 on the clock to make it 10-3.
• Carney scored his second of the day with 6:40 remaining in the third, but UMass Lowell had a quick response seven seconds later with a goal off the faceoff.
• Pfeiffer scored his second of the afternoon shortly after to make it 12-4.
• The River Hawks scored back-to-back goals before the end of the third to make it 12-6.
• Hardy picked up his second of the day early in the fourth.
• UMass Lowell's Burke scored his second of the afternoon with 8:44 left, 13-7, for the final goal of the game.
