Kyle McClancy Honored as Warrior/US Lacrosse Player of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. – After a five-point performance in the NCAA victory vs. Denver, Kyle McClancy has been chosen as the Warrior/US Lacrosse Player of the Week.

McClancy is the second UAlbany player to earn this weekly honor, along with TD Ierlan back on March 5th, and fourth to pick up a national weekly award, with Tehoka Nanticoke and Connor Fields each having been chosen for one by the Baltimore Sun.

The senior midfielder led UAlbany in points vs. Denver with five off three goals and two assists.  He had the team's last two goals, each while the 30-second clock was going, to help secure the 15-13 win vs. the Pioneers.

On the year, McClancy has 29 goals, 18 assists, 34 ground balls and five caused turnovers.

UAlbany is preparing for its first trip to Championship Weekend, taking on Yale at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, May 26th at noon.
