Miles Thompson Honored as America East Player of the Week for Second Time in '14

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second time this season, UAlbany attack Miles Thompson has been named the America East Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Miles Thompson last earned America East Player of the Week for the period ending March 2nd, giving him three for his collegiate career. It is the fourth America East Player of the Week honor for UAlbany this season, with Lyle Thompson earning the other two.
This week, Miles Thompson earned at least six points in both UAlbany games, including four goals and three assists in Tuesday's contest vs. Canisius and a trio of goals and assists in the America East-opening victory over Vermont.
Currently, the senior is first in Division I with 4.13 goals per game and second, only to Lyle Thompson, with 6.25 points per game.
The Great Danes will be heading down to Baltimore on Friday for a nighttime showdown against Johns Hopkins at 7 p.m.
