Short Story: The University at Albany women's golf team officially started its 2025-26 season on Friday afternoon, taking down rival Siena in the annual Crosstown Challenge. The team came home with a score of +16, Siena finished at +41.

Head Coach Colleen Cashman: "The Crosstown Challenge is always a nice season kickoff event in our own area with fans out to watch. The weather couldn't have been better, and we had a few good scores out there today! Prime's +1 will give her a blast as she starts the season and Callie played solid golf too. It's always a nice feeling to have depth in the lineup and to have options for every tournament. Overall, I'd say the day was a great way to begin the season and I'm grateful to Siena for hosting for the first time at Pinehaven."
