Lake Buena Vista, Fla. – Four Great Danes collected All-MAAC honors as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its postseason awards, Monday morning.
Thantita Aungsuseewong and
Mia Cepeda led the way as First Team selections, with Cepeda serving as the only unanimous selection in the conference.
Callie Taylor and
Madison Kuratani both earned spots on the All-MAAC Second Team.
Beyond their athletic performance on the course, the Great Danes also demonstrated exceptional commitment in the classroom. The program saw six student-athletes named to the MAAC All-Academic Team, including Cepeda, Taylor, Kuratani,
Lucia Esteban,
Nicole Criscone, and
Jessica Brown. The showing placed UAlbany second overall in the conference for the most All-Academic selections, capping off a season defined by both competitive excellence and academic achievement.
"I'm incredibly proud of this group and the relentless work they've put in all year," said Head Coach
Colleen Cashman. "Prime and Mia have been exceptional leaders, and it's rewarding to see their efforts recognized this season. With such a strong core of returning players, the future of this program is incredibly bright. We are locked in and excited to head into the week competing for our fifth MAAC Championship."
