BOSTON – University at Albany junior Silas Richmond and sophomore Jacob Smith have collected America East weekly awards, the conference announced Monday morning. Richmond was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Smith was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Richmond recorded his fourth hat trick of the season in Saturday's 17-6 win over UMass Lowell. He added three assists for a team-high six points on the afternoon. His third score of the day marked the 100^th goal of his young career.  
 
Smith was a pillar on the defensive side of the ball, assisting a unit that allowed just six goals on Saturday afternoon – a season low. He picked up four ground balls and two caused turnovers, adding his first assist of the year en route to the team's first conference victory of the season.
