ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany women's lacrosse team and Head Coach
Katie Thomson have officially announced the program's 2025 season schedule.
The Great Danes are looking to win their second America East Champions in three years and are set to play nine games at John Fallon Field this season while looking to earn their fourth conference title.
"We are so excited for this season's schedule and to challenge ourselves against some of the top programs in the country," Thomson said. "We are working hard to prepare for the opportunities ahead to play this great slate of teams from multiple conferences."

The season begins with a trip to Syracuse (Feb. 7) in the season opener to take on the Orange of the ACC, who lost to Boston College in the semifinals of the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The Purple and Golds home campaign will start by hosting Holy Cross (Feb. 12) before turning around and traveling to face Harvard (Feb. 15).
Back at John Fallon Field for a six-game home stand, the Great Danes will renew its rivalry against now CAA member Stony Brook (Feb. 23), who fell to 'Cuse in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, before welcoming Colgate (Mar. 1) and UConn (Mar. 8). In the back of the home stand, the Great Danes will host its second ACC opponent and the 2024 NCAA Champions Boston College (Mar. 12), who defeated Syracuse in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament before winning the National Championship against Northwestern, by a score of 14-13.
The America East Conference Opener will match up UAlbany vs. Vermont (Mar. 15), and cap off the month-long home stand against Robert Morris (Mar. 21). The Great Danes will then head to South Carolina to face their third ACC opponent of the season, Clemson (Mar. 26), before heading back north to face UMass Lowell (Mar. 29).
To finish the regular season, four of the Great Danes' final five opponents hail from the America East as they host New Hampshire (Apr. 5) before traveling to Bryant (Apr. 12) and then taking on Le Moyne (Apr. 16) of the NEC. The final regular season game at home will see UAlbany face UMBC (Apr. 19) before a rematch of the 2024 America East Championship against Binghamton (Apr. 26), on the road, who lost to Yale in the opening round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament who'd then go on to fall to Syracuse in the quarterfinal rounds.
