SKOPJE, North Macedonia - The University at Albany women's basketball incoming freshman
Karyn Sanford finished competition at the FIBA U20 Women's Basketball European Championship, Sunday.
A member of the Norwegian Junior National Team, Sanford led her team to a seventh-place finish in the championship tournament.
Throughout the tournament, Sanford played six games and totaled 98 points, averaging 16.3 points per game - the fifth-highest average of all athletes in the competition. With 4.0 assists per game, she finished ninth overall.
Averaging 5.7 field goals per game, she went 8-10 from outside the arc in Norway's final game of the week, a 77-45 victory over North Macedonia.
After competing with both Norway's U20 and Senior National Teams throughout the summer, Sanford will travel to the United States to begin her career as a Great Dane.
