How it Happened
- The women's 6K race began the day, where the UAlbany women placed 13th in the team standings with 313 points. Tess Fitzmaurice was UAlbany's top finisher for the ninth-straight race to start her career, placing 18th overall in 21:52.9.
- Amanda Chambers finished second for UAlbany, placing 33rd overall in 22:13.3.
- Former America East rival Stony Brook claimed the women's team title, scoring 105 points to outpace runner-up Richmond who finished with 177 points. UMass Lowell's Kenzie Doyle won the individual title in 20:45.1.
- The women's scoring gap was 1:12.3.
- Ryan Russell was the men's top finisher for the first time in his career, placing 106th overall in 26:03.7. Freshman Kirk Dawkins finished next for UAlbany, crossing the line in 130th in 26:16.6.
- Antonio Beltran and Brandon Garcia, UAlbany's top-two runners from last season, placed 157th in 26:30.2 and 170th in 26:40.8, respectively.
- Princeton took the men's team title, scoring 33 points, placing three in the top four and gapping second-place Cornell's 66 points. The Tigers also claimed the individual title, when Anthony Monte crossed the line in 23:52.8.
- The men's scoring gap was 1:46.6.
- The Great Danes will return to Van Cortlandt Park for the NCAA Northeast Regional XC Championship meet in November.
