ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany men's lacrosse team will celebrate its historic 2018 season before Saturday night's basketball game.
During a ceremony set to begin at 6:45 p.m. on the SEFCU Arena court, the Great Danes will receive championship rings commemorating their America East title and trip to NCAA Championship Weekend.
Approximately 15 minutes later, the men's basketball team will tip off against Binghamton in the annual Big Purple Growl.

Head Coach Scott Marr and men's lacrosse student-athletes also will be on hand at the Ferocious Feast prior to the game to sign autographs and talk with fans. The Feast begins at 5 p.m. in the Physical Education Building gymnasium.

The Great Danes finished 16-3 in 2018 in reaching Championship Weekend for the first time in program history. Before playing in the national semifinals, they defeated four ranked teams and won a second consecutive America East championship.
The 2019 season begins Saturday, Feb. 16, at Syracuse.
