Two UAlbany Lacrosse Alumni to Play in U.S. Blue-White Exhibition

BALTIMORE – Two former UAlbany lacrosse players, Blaze Riorden and Adam Osika, will compete in the U.S. Indoor Team Blue-White exhibition this weekend.

This is one of the events for the U.S. national indoor program, preparing for the Indoor Lacrosse Championship in September 2019.

The exhibition will be played at the DuBurns Arena in Baltimore as part of LaxCon and FanFest on Saturday, January 20th at 7 p.m.

Each Riorden, UAlbany Class of 2016, and Osika, UAlbany Class of 2017, will be on the White roster.  They are two of 44 players named to the combined rosters.

Riorden, a member of the 2015 U.S. National Indoor Team that took the bronze in the world championship in Syracuse, won 53 victories at UAlbany in four years starting in goal from 2013-16.  A former National Lacrosse League (NLL) with the Buffalo Bandits, he currently plays for the Whitby Steelhawks in the Arena Lacrosse League.

Osika, who will compete with the U.S. program for the first time, earned All-America honors at SSDM for UAlbany in 2017.  Osika was drafted into the NLL by the Georgia Swarm last year.
