BOSTON - UAlbany softball's Katie Parisi has been named the Rookie of the Week by the America East Conference, announced Tuesday.
 
A native of Colonie, New York, Parisi went 6-11 over three games last week. Of her six hits, five were doubles. She added four RBI and three runs scored in a split doubleheader at Siena and a single game at Fordham. 
 
This is Parisi's third Rookie of the Week honor. It is the team's eighth weekly award this season: Player - Mary Kate Murray (Feb. 17) and Julia Pike (Mar. 17); Pitcher - Hayley Wieczerzak (Mar. 3) and Hailey Errichiello (Mar. 31); and Rookie - Katie Parisi (Feb. 17, Mar. 24) and Julia Pike (Mar. 3, Mar. 17).
 
The Great Danes return to today against Siena before hosting Senior Weekend against Bryant (Apr. 18-19).
