KEY STATS
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Katie Parisi got the hitting started right away with a two-out double in the first.
  • Deanna Grahek and senior Kasey Conn hit back to back to put two on base but remained in scoring position through the end of the top of the second.
  • The Bearcats took a lead they never gave up in the bottom of the second with a two-run homer from Elisa Allen. They added two more in the third.
  • In the fourth, UAlbany earned their first scores from Conn and Vanessa Meyers. After a walk (Conn) and a double (Meyers), Sara Anderson drove in both with a single to right field.
  • Binghamton took advantage of an error and extended their lead before the end of the fourth, 6-2.
  • Both the Great Danes and the Bearcats added a run, of a homer, in the fifth. Mary Kate Murray scored for UAlbany to start the inning.
  • Binghamton sealed the victory with two final runs in the bottom of the sixth.

NEXT: The Great Danes will close the weekend series against Binghamton with a doubleheader tomorrow (Saturday, Apr. 4).
