Riley Forthofer have received weekly awards, the America East announced on Monday. Cincebox was named Goalkeeper of the Week, Cook Offensive Player of the Week, while Forthofer earned Rookie of the Week honors following the Great Danes' overtime victory over the then-ranked No.25 Harvard Crimson.
Â
A Pittsford, N.Y. native, Cincebox backstopped UAlbany to a signature 13-12 overtime victory over No. 25 Harvard, finishing with eight saves while facing 28 shots and 20 shots on goal in 65:05 of action. Cincebox was at her best in high-pressure moments. She recorded three saves in the second quarter and four in the third to halt the Crimsons momentum and preserve UAlbany's lead during critical stretches. This is Cincebox's second America East Player of the Week honor this season, and her second in a row.
Cook delivered a dominant all-around performance in UAlbany's 13-12 overtime win over No. 25 Harvard, totaling six points (3g, 3a) and controlling the game at the draw circle. Cook recorded a game-high 15 draw controls, powering UAlbany to an 18-9 advantage overall, including the overtime draw control that led to the game-winning goal. Her draw dominance was critical in limiting Harvard possessions and dictating tempo throughout the contest. Offensively, Cook contributed to nearly half of UAlbany's scoring output. She factored into key momentum-swinging stretches, including first-half scoring runs and woman-up opportunities.
Â
A Freshman from Wantagh, N.Y., Forthofer delivered the biggest moment of the game in upset fashion, when she found the open space and called for the ball from
Ravan Marsell, who fed her a perfect pass, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to seal the ranked victory. Forthofer finished with two points (1g, 1a), assisting on a first-quarter goal before netting the decisive score with 0:55 remaining in overtime. Her game-winner capped a resilient team effort.
