GREAT DANE REWIND
- UAlbany opened the season 3-0 with victories over Merrimack (11/11), Siena (11/13), and Navy (11/16).
- Before heading to the UNLV Thanksgiving Tournament to compete against UNLV (11/25), ETSU (11/26), and Stetson (11/17), the Great Danes hosted Colgate (11/19) for their first loss of the season.
- Sophomore Freja Werth leads the team with a .441 field goal percentage and 6.3 rebounds per game.
- Coming back from an injury, senior Helene Haegerstrand leads the team from downtown with a 60% success rate in 51 minutes throughout three contests.
- Graduate student Ellen Hahne leads the team with 15.0 points per game.
- Senior Grace Heeps owns three team-highs with 17 assists, seven steals, and two blocks.
- Hahne is a close second to Heeps with 16 assists and six steals.
ABOUT CANISIUS
- The Golden Griffins are 2-4 to start the season.
- After a season-opening victory over UB (11/7), Canisius lost three straight against Toledo (11/11), Detroit Mercy (11/13), and Binghamton (11/20).
- The Griffs split last week with a win at Colgate (11/22) and a loss at Robert Morris (11/26).
- Dani Haskell leads the team with a .411 field goal percentage and 16.6 points per game.
- Sisi Eleko leads on the boards with 6.0 rebounds per game
- Vannessa Garrelts owns two team-highs with 21 assists and nine steals while Rhay Porter has added eight blocks.
SERIES AGAINST THE GOLDEN GRIFFINS
- The all-time series is tied, 4-4.
- UAlbany has won the last two matchups, in 2021 and 2019, to tie the series.

WHAT'S UP, PRESEASON
- With seven first-place votes and 59 total points, the Great Dane women's basketball team was picked to finish first in the conference in the preseason coaches' poll. Maine was just behind them with 54 points while Vermont came in third with 46 points and one first-place vote.
- Last season's offensive and defensive leaders, respectively, Helene Haegerstrand and Kayla Cooper were named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team.
- UAlbany added three new players to the roster for the 2022-23 season - Taylor Moffat, Karyn Sanford, and Marie Sepp.

- Fans are invited to come out to City Line Bar & Grill to join Coach Mullen, Coach Kills, the student-athletes, and the ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team crew.
- Food and drink specials will be available on a weekly basis as the teams embark on their new seasons and talk hoops every Monday.
