BOSTON – Following the abbreviated spring 2021 season, the University at Albany cross country program saw three student-athletes earn America East All-Academic honors, the conference announced Wednesday.
Kelly Iocca, a senior from Oakdale, N.Y., was one of two UAlbany representatives on the women's team. Iocca has accumulated a 3.81 GPA studying Psychology, with minors in Education Studies and Sociology. She is a four-time America East Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree, and has been named to the Dean's List five times. Iocca placed ninth at the 2021 Spring America East XC Championships, earning a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.
Sydney Coddington, a senior from Bronxville, N.Y., earned a 4.00 GPA studying Political Science with a minor in Public Health. In her career, she has been named to the Dean's List three times and is a two-time America East Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree.
Dean Athanailos, a sophomore from Floral Park, N.Y., was the lone UAlbany representative among the men's honorees. Athanailos has accumulated a 3.96 GPA studying Business Administration, and has been named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll twice, and to the Dean's List three times.
UAlbany track & field competes next in the Virginia Invitational April 2-3 at the University of Virginia.
