Great Danes Visit New Hampshire in Final Regular Season Road Tilt

ALBANY, N.Y. — The University at Albany women's basketball team takes the court for its final road contest of the regular season at New Hampshire on Wednesday afternoon. 

The Great Danes enter Wednesday looking to snap a three-game skid after falling, 69-60, at UMBC on Saturday. Kyara Frames tried to fuel a late comeback, scoring 13 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter but UMBC used a late 8-2 run to keep the Great Danes at arms length. Heather Forster brought down 12 boards to go along with 16 points as the senior picked up her fourth double-double of the season. 

Leading the Pack

The Great Danes are led by Kyara Frames and Heather Forster. Frames is posting a career-best 12.0 points per contest, while Forster chips in with a team- and career-high 7.3 boards per game and 9.5 points. As a team, the Great Danes are boasting 54.4 points per game and 38.5 boards. 

Scouting New Hampshire 

Ashley Storey and Kari Brekke headline the Wildcat offense averag- ing 17.1 and 10.0 points respectively. Storey is pulling in a team- best 6.6 boards per game, while Brekke is dishing out 2.7 assists per game to lead all players. As a team, New Hampshire is totaling 53.19 points per game but allowing its opponents to average 64.52 points. 

Going Back To Her Roots

Head Coach Colleen Mullen is headed back to Durham, N.H, but this time, as a Great Dane. Mullen, a two-year captain of the Wildcats, graduated from New Hampshire in 2002 and finished her career with 2018 assists, the 14th highest mark in school history. Mullen led the Great Danes to a 59-41 victory against her former team earlier this season.

Last Time vs. New Hampshire

Alexi Schecter and Heather Forster notched 18 and 16 points, respective- ly, to lead the Great Danes to a 59-41 rout of New Hampshire on Janu- rary 30. UAlbany shot 40.7 percent from the floor and led by as many as 25 points in the contest. 

A Win Would

A win would give the Great Danes the regular season sweep against New Hampshire and snap a three-game skid for UAlbany.
