Liz Snow Selected to 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District I Softball Team

ALBANY, N.Y. -- University at Albany senior catcher Liz Snow has been named to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 1 Softball Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. This is Snow's second selection as she was selected last spring as well.

To be nominated for CoSIDA Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve with legitimate athletic credentials, have reached their sophomore year and have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA.

Liz Snow, a native of Long Beach Calif., has maintained a 3.47 GPA majoring in human biology. A 2015-16 America East All-Academic Team pick and a three-time America East All-Conference selection, Snow leads the conference with a .959 slugging percentage, 18 doubles, .525 on base percentage, and 94 total bases. Snow also leads the NCAA in doubles per game and is ranked fifth in total doubles.

In her senior season, Snow has been named the America East Player of the Week three times and has broken several UAlbany career records including RBIs, doubles, and homeruns.

The first team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
