BOSTON - UAlbany softball's sophomore Hailey Errichiello has been named the Pitcher of the Week by the America East Conference, announced Tuesday.
 
A native of Roxbury, New Jersey, Errichiello started three of four games competed this week totaling two complete game wins. In 14.0 innings, she struck out 11 and allowed just two walks while facing 60 batters. 
 
This is Errichiello's first Pitcher of the Week honor. It is the team's seventh weekly award this season: Player - Mary Kate Murray (Feb. 17) and Julia Pike (Mar. 17); Pitcher - Hayley Wieczerzak (Mar. 3); and Rookie - Katie Parisi (Feb. 17, Mar. 24) and Julia Pike (Mar. 3, Mar. 17).
 
The Great Danes return to action with five games this week - a CCSU doubleheader at home (Apr. 1) before a road series at Binghamton (Apr. 3-4).
