- Both teams were able to put runners on base in the second inning, but neither were able to bring anyone home.
- In the bottom of the third, Katie Parisi hit a two-run homer to extend the Great Danes' lead to 3-0.
- UMass Lowell gained momentum with a four-run inning in the fourth to take a 4-3 lead.
- In the bottom of the fifth, Taylor Quinn hit a three-run home run to give the lead back to UAlbany, 6-4.
