BOSTON - UAlbany softball's freshman
Katie Parisi has been named the Rookie of the Week by the America East Conference, announced Tuesday.
A native of Colonie, New York, Parisi led her team with a .500 batting average and five RBI through the weekend series at Bryant. The rookie totaled five hits, including one double and one home run. In the Saturday win alone, Parisi tallied four RBI on two hits.
This is Parisi's second Rookie of the Week honor. It is the team's sixth weekly award this season: Player -

The Great Danes return to action with five home games this week - Le Moyne doubleheader (Mar. 25) and UMass Lowell series (Mar. 28-29).
