Women's Basketball Visits Central Connecticut State

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany women's basketball team will play on the road at Central Connecticut State after playing two straight games at SEFCU Arena to open the 2017-18 home schedule.  The Great Danes are currently riding a three-game winning streak after falling at Maryland in the season opener.

UAlbany last played their second of two straight home games, dispatching Wagner 89-44. During the game, redshirt senior Jessica Féquière hit her 100th career free throw and grabbed her 300th career rebound.  Three players, Féquière, Heather Forster, and Alexi Schecter, scored in double figures.  The Great Danes have now won three straight games by an average of 25.3 points.  In two of those games, UAlbany allowed just 44 points each.

Central Connecticut State remains winless this season after four games.  The Blue Devils' opponents so far include West Virginia, Virginia, and Brown.  Most recently, the Blue Devils lost at Penn State 83-66 in the team's third road game in their first four.  Monday's game against UAlbany will be the Blue Devils' first of two straight at home.

The Great Danes will return to SEFCU Arena on Thursday, November 30 to face St. John's before embarking on a three-game road trip at Holy Cross on December 3, at Manhattan on December 6, and at Siena on December 9.
