NEW ORLEANS – For the fourth consecutive week, the University at Albany men's cross country team ranks 13th in the Northeast regional rankings, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Monday.
The top three in the men's poll, Syracuse, Columbia, and Iona, remained unchanged since last week. Brown jumped one spot to take fourth. Army and Connecticut each jumped five spots to take fifth and sixth, respectively. Within the America East, UMass Lowell jumped one spot into seventh and Stony Brook fell two spots to eighth.
The Great Danes just returned from Lehigh's Paul Short Run, where the team placed 21st in the Gold division. Ryan Udvadia paced the Great Danes, finishing 37th overall in 24:14.5, the second-fastest 8K in school history.
UAlbany is off until October 14 when the team will host the 51st annual XC Invitational.
