UAlbany-Hartford WBB on February 26th Selected as Wildcard Game, Will Air on ESPN3
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The America East Conference has announced that the women's basketball contest between UAlbany and Hartford on February 26th at 7 p.m. in Connecticut will be aired on ESPN3 as a wildcard game.
In September, when the ESPN3 schedule was released, the America East stated that the league would feature a wildcard game to highlight an “intriguing matchup.”
Currently, UAlbany stands in first place with a 9-1 conference record, while Hartford is in third place at 7-3. This game in West Hartford also features the two programs will the last four America East titles, with UAlbany taking the last three.
When the two met in January, UAlbany used a 29-5 run in the second half to defeat the Hawks 82-58.
It will be the third game in a row for UAlbany on ESPN3. UAlbany's home game vs. UMBC on Wednesday, February 18th at 7 p.m. and the away contest at Stony Brook on Sunday, February 22nd are each on ESPN3.
