ALBANY, N.Y..-  Senior co-captains Corrine McConville and Daphne Voormolen as well as freshman midfielder Paula Heuser were named to the NFHCA All-Northeast Region First Team, the coaches association announced on Tuesday. Sophomore Fiori Van Rijswijk was selected to the All-Region Second Team.

McConville was named to the All-Region team for the fourth consecutive year after scoring nine goals and tallying six assists. The defender was also named to the All-America East First Team for the third straight year following a stellar senior season. McConville earned All-America Second Team honors in 2011, and was the third Great Dane to earn All-America status in the Division I era. She was 16-for-17 on penalty strokes in her career, and tops the minutes leaderboard all-time at UAlbany with 5,816 minutes played. She ranks third all-time with 43 career goals and tied for third with 101 career points. She was the 2010 America East Rookie of the Year, as well as the 2010 league tournament Most Outstanding Performer. In her rookie season she was also named to the All-America East Second Team and All-Tournament team. McConville started every game of her career, becoming the program's all-time leader in career games played and started with 84.

Voormolen was named to the All-Region team for the second-straight year, and tops the Division I program leaderboard in career points (117) and goals (48). She scored an all-time single-game high five goals in a 9-0 win over Sacred Heart this past season. The forward scored 15 goals to go with 10 assists in 2013. Voormolen was the 2012 America East Tournament Most Outstanding Performer and the conference's Co-Offensive Player of the Year. She was selected as the America East Offensive Player of the Year this season, and was named to the All-America East First Team. Voormolen is a four-time America East All-Conference honoree. In addition to her accomplishments on the field, the forward was also named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad in 2012 and the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Heuser, a freshman from Germany, earned her first All-Region accolade after being named the America East Rookie and Midfielder of the Year. It was the first time in the league's history that a player has earned both awards in the same season. The midfielder was named the America East Rookie of the Week six times, and was the league's leader in points (45) and goals (17) as a freshman. Heuser now is UAlbany's Division I leader in goals and points. She became the UAlbany program all-time top single-season rookie scorer with two goals against UMass Lowell in the final game of the regular season. She passed current assistant coach Michelle Simpson as the program's top single-season rookie scorer. Heuser was also a unanimous selection to the America East All-Rookie and All-Conference First Team this past season.

Van Rijswijk earned All-Region Second Team honors after scoring eight goals and tallying three assists this season. The penalty corner specialist was named to the All-America East Second Team and was a 2011 All-America East Rookie Team awardee. Van Rijswijk started all 21 games for the Great Danes this past season.

McConville and Voormolen will participate in the 2013 NFHCA Division I Senior Game on Nov. 23 in Virginia Beach at 2:15 p.m. The NFHCA Senior Game honors the top seniors in Division I field hockey annually the weekend of the NCAA championship game. This year the game will be played in conjunction with Old Dominion hosting the NCAA final in Norfolk, Va.
