  • The Red Foxes were swept by USF (2.23-25) and Columbia (3.1-3) but bounced back to defeat Fordham (3.6).
  • After defeating Richmond (3.8-10) in two of three contests, Marist was defeated at Virginia Tech (3.12).
  • Losing the series against Radford (3.15-17), 1-2, the Red Foxes were defeated by FDU (3.20).
  • Defeating Saint Peter's (3.22-24) twice, Marist lost to Sacred Heart (3.26) and was swept by Niagara (3.29-30).
  • Most recently, the Red Foxes claimed the series against Mount St. Mary's (4.6-7) after winning games one and three.
  • Ethan Conrad has led the way for Marist at the plate with a team-best .336 batting average, 28 RBIs, and four home runs.
  • Johnny Decker has been waging war on the base paths, tallying 14 steals in 16 attempts.
  • Tyler Hartley has been dominant on the bump, striking out 29 batters in 32 innings pitched while recording a 1.59 WHIP.

2024 Captains

Will Binder, Connor Eisenmann, and Cregg Scherrer will serve as the captains for the Great Danes during the 2024 season. Binder enters his third season with UAlbany after starting his collegiate career at LaSalle. Since joining the Great Danes, he has started in 89 games and has a .325 batting average. Eisenmann returns to UAlbany for his fourth season. Through 37 appearances for the Great Danes, he has recorded a 5.93 ERA with 121 strikeouts and a .254 batting average against. Scherrer is a redshirt senior from Skaneateles, N.Y., entering his fifth season with the team. Appearing in 44 games, including 34 starts, Scherrer has struck out 195 batters and owns a 5.73 ERA.
 
2024 America East Preseason Poll
  • UAlbany was picked to finish seventh in the 2024 America East Preseason Poll, earning eight points.
  • The Bearcats were picked to finish first in the conference with 35 points, including five first-place votes.
  • Maine, the defending champions, followed closely behind with 31 points and two first-place votes.
  • UMBC (26) placed third, NJIT (19) fourth, and Bryant (18) fifth.
  • UMass Lowell (10) and UAlbany rounded out the poll.
 
America East Standings

Bryant sits on top of the conference table having won eight games in nine contests. Three programs are tied for second with a .500 win percentage, UMass Lowell and Maine share a 4-4 record with UMBC being 3-3. NJIT and UAlbany trail just behind with a 3-5 record. Binghamton rounds out the conference having started conference play with a 2-6 record.
