BOSTON - UAlbany women's basketball's Kaci Donovan and Delanie Hill swept the America East weekly awards, as announced Monday.
 
Graduate student Kaci Donovan was named Player of the Week while freshman Delanie Hill was named the Rookie of the Week.
 
Finding a rhythm in recent games, Donovan led the team in both contests this week. Scoring 20 points in a win against Merrimack, she averaged 17.0 ppg after a 14-point performance at Wisconsin. The forward added five rebounds while shooting 52.4% from the field with a 45.5% three-point accuracy.
 
A starter since her first collegiate game, Delanie Hill stepped up on the stats chart last week. The rookie guard shot 55.6% from the field while finding the net for over 57% of her three-point attempts to score 14 points in two games. The native of Charlotte, N.C. added five assists and three steals in a 1-1 week for the Great Danes.
 
Both Donovan and Hill have earned their first career America East weekly awards as the UAlbany women's basketball sweeps the league's weekly awards for the second time in a row (after Kayla Cooper and Martina Borrellas last week). With one week remaining in non-conference play, the Great Danes' have totaled seven weekly awards.
 
UAlbany will close their non-conference action at #6 LSU on Sunday (Dec. 29).
