ALBANY, N.Y. - The University at Albany Men's soccer program (3-10-1, 1-3-0 America East) will take on a pair of opponents at home this week kicking of against Colgate (4-6-3, 2-2-2 Patriot League), and New Hampshire (5-3-5, 2-1-1 America East).

Last Time Out:
The Great Danes are coming off a 2-1 loss against NJIT on Saturday, September 30. The lone goal in Saturday's game was scored by Timo Jansen. Returning to Casey Stadium, the Great Danes are aiming to have a good week at home with the hope for two successful matches against Colgate on Mental Health Awareness Night and New Hampshire for Senior Night this week.
 
So far this season UAlbany has scored 16 goals in 14 matches averaging 1.14 goals per match while recording 138 shots, 64 on goal, for an average of 9.9 shots per match and 0.464 shots on goal percentage.
 
With his goal on Saturday, Timo Jansen returns to the top of the points total for the Great Danes. The Dutchman has a total of 15 points from six goals and three assists off of 22 shots, 15 on goal for a 0.682 shots on goal percentage. Jansen also leads the team in minutes played with '1165, and is the only player to start all 14 matches for the Purple and Gold this season. In goal, Kodai Tsuzuki (1-1-0) got his second start of the season and played all '90 in the net. Tsuzuki increased his total saves to eight, putting his save percentage at 0.667.
 
Looking at Colgate:
The Raiders will enter Tuesday's match coming off a 1-nil loss against Boston University on Saturday, October 19^th. Colgate has scored 16 times while surrendering 20 goals to its opponents while taking 85 shots, 45 on goal, for an average of 6.5 shots per game and 0.529 shots on goal percentage. They have received a total of 27 yellow cards and two red cards to this point in the season.
 
Blake Pipkin leads the team in points with 12, having scored five goals, and counting two assists, off 13 shots, ten on goal, for a 0.769 shots-on-goal percentage. Defenseman Jacob Blackwin leads the team of any field player with '1136 spent on the pitch and has recorded three points from two goals and one assist. Alex St. John leads in the card count for Colgate with four yellow cards.
 
Oliver Townend (3-4-3) has been the team's predominant keeper in net having started ten of 13 games for the Raiders where he's recorded 26 saves, and 12 goals allowed against for a 1.20 goals against average and 0.684 save percentage.
 
In the Great Danes' last match against Colgate back on October 17, 2023, the Purple and Gold fell to the Raiders 1-nil in Hamilton, N.Y.
 
Looking at New Hampshire:
New Hampshire is coming off of a 2-1 win against UMBC on Saturday, October 19, on their home pitch.
 
After 13 games, the Wildcats have recorded 14 goals while allowing 12 against their opponents and average 1.08 goals scored per match. In total, they've tallied 160 shots for an average of 12.3 shots per game while going 65-160 in shots on goal to shots. New Hampshire has a total of 28 yellow cards and two red cards against them.
 
Matther Goncalves leads New Hampshire with 12 points from five goals and two assists off 30 shots and 17 shots on goal for a 0.567 shots on goal percentage and 0.167 shooting percentage. Leading the Wildcats' field players in minutes is defenseman, Jaehyuk Moon '1046 played. At '1170 in goal, Erik Lauta (5-3-5) has made all 13 starts for New Hampshire, allowing 12 goals with 41 saves for a 0.774 save percentage and 0.92 goals against average.
 
September 29, 2023, was the last time these two teams matched up against one another which saw a nil-nil tie in Durham, N.H.
