- Callie Taylor has been UAlbany's top golfer in two of four events this fall, pacing the Great Danes in both the Bucknell Invitational (third place, +10) and Princeton Invitational (15th place, +13). She finished second on the team with an overall score of 239 (+23) at the Red Bandanna Invitational and fourth on the team with a score of 155 (+15) at the Great Danes Invitational.
- Mia Cepeda, a freshman, has been just as strong for the Great Danes. She started the year by shooting +14 at Bucknell (second on the team) before she led UAlbany in the Red Bandanna Invitational with a score of +20. She placed third on the team at Princeton, shooting +19, and tied for second on the team (17th overall) at UAlbany's home event, shooting +14.
- Lucia Esteban had a strong outing at the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational, leading the team at its home event with an eighth-place finish after shooting +11 over two days.

Head Coach Colleen Cashman
"Saucon Valley is a special place. Not only has it hosted many majors and tours over the years, but it's a great test of every bit of skill from the tees to the tricky greens. It's always in great shape and the weather this weekend looks nice. The team has had a couple of weeks to rest up after playing four events in five weeks, so I'm looking forward to some good things this tournament. We have set some new goals to try to capitalize on par 5's and minimize our big numbers. If we can do both of those, I would think we can find our name towards the top of the leaderboard. So, we are all looking forward to a strong finish to the fall season!"

About the Course
Soon after World War II it was decided that one eighteen-hole golf course was not enough for
the growing membership of Saucon Valley. Golf course architect William Gordon, who had
worked with Toomey and Flynn (Shinnecock Hills) and constructed courses for Donald Ross
(Seminole), Willie Park, Jr. (Maidstone) and Devereux Emmet (Garden City Golf Club), was
chosen to create the additional course. The course is named for Eugene Gifford Grace, the man
who founded the club and for more than four decades exerted a very strong influence on
making Saucon Valley Country Club what it is today.
