CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Three members of the University at Albany women's golf program,
Claudia Blöchliger,
Malene Clausen, and
Lucia Esteban, earned All-American Scholar honors from the Women's Golf Coaches' Association.
Blöchliger, a rising junior from Zofingen, Switzerland, maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA through her second year as a college student studying Business.
Clausen, a rising senior, earned a 3.84 GPA in her first year as a Great Dane in the Communication program.
Esteban, a rising sophomore, worked for a 3.97 GPA as a freshman in the business program.
This is Blöchliger's second-straight WGCA All-American Scholar award while Esteban and Clausen are first-time honorees.
A total of 1,401 women's golfers were recognized for their academic accomplishments in 2022-23. A student-athlete requires a 3.50 GPA or higher for consideration.
