BOSTON – University at Albany freshman Jackson Finn has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.  He was named alongside Offensive Player Max Murray from Vermont and Defensive Player Samuel Reigy from NJIT.
 
Finn, a forward from Woodland, Wash., scored his first career goal as a Great Dane in the team's conference opener on the road against UMBC.  Finn had collected a rebound and scored on an open net after back-to-back shots from Saad Faiz and Domenic Baumann drew Retriever goalkeeper Quantrell Jones out of position.  Finn's goal secured the 1-0 victory over UMBC.
 
UAlbany returns home to host America East newcomer Bryant on October 1.
