GENEVA, N.Y. - Senior defender
Julie Rodijk has been selected to participate in the annual Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Game.
The Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Game features top senior players in the nation. The 38 selected seniors, with 15 alternates, are given the opportunity to represent their university while competing with their peers. The 2022 Division I Senior Game will take place in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship at the University of Connecticut. The game is projected for a 2:00 p.m. start on Saturday, November 19.
Rodijk has consistently represented UAlbany on higher levels. Throughout her time as a Great Dane, Rodijk has started 60 games, missing just four during her rookie season. In her first two years on campus, she scored the game-winning goal at Columbia as a freshman and she added a goal in a 2-0 shutout at Hofstra in her second season. In her junior season, Rodijk added three goals while leading the team in minutes.
Rodijk is a three-time all-conference honoree with two Second Team All-America East honors and one First Team All-America East honor. A member of the 2019 America East All-Rookie Team was most recently honored with an NFHCA All-Northeast Region honor.
So far this season, Rodijk has tallied three goals and two assists. She is one of just two defenders who have scored for the Great Danes in 2022.
