Men’s Soccer Picked Fourth

BOSTON – The University at Albany men's soccer program has been picked to finish fourth in the 2021 America East Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference announced Tuesday. 
 
The Great Danes drew 33 points in fourth place, behind three-time defending conference champion and unanimous favorite New Hampshire, who landed 64 points and all nine possible first-place votes.  Vermont, picked second, drew 57 points and the remaining first place vote.
 
NJIT was picked one spot ahead of UAlbany in third with 48 points.  UMass Lowell (31), UMBC (30), and Hartford (28), narrowly trailed the Great Danes.  Stony Brook (18) and Binghamton (15) rounded out the poll.
 
Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own team.
 
The Great Danes begin their 2021 fall season on August 26 at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium against Fairfield.
