Game One:

The bats proved to be the difference maker in game one as the Great Danes' offense slugged their way to a 12-8 victory.

Katie Falotico and Chelsea Henige had strong outings at the plate, combing for six of the squad's 12 RBI, while Sarah Petzold had a day of her own with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.

Mariah Miramontez got things going for the Great Danes after an Army West Point error allowed the right fielder to occupy second base before advancing to third on a pass ball. Miramontez later scored on a ball put in play by Katie Falotico to give the home team a 1-0 edge.

The Black Knights retaliated with a four-spot in the second inning to take their first lead of the game, 4-1.

Amelia Ely singled before Kelly Barkevich and Love Drumgole reached by way of walk as Miramontez stepped into the box with bases loaded. Miramontez seized her opportunity with a two-run single that plated Barkevich and Drumgole and trimmed the lead to one.

Army West Point jumped head 5-3 with a solo homerun in the third but Falotico and Henige got their team back in it with a pair of RBI singles to knot the game 5-5. The visitors were able to jumped back in front following a three-run shot by Taylor Crayton.

The Great Danes continued the offensive display with a game-high six runs in the fourth inning to break the game open. The rally started with an error that scored Drumgole before a bases loaded walk plated Alexis Phillips. Petzold followed that up with a one-out double that scored Wade and Miramontez to give UAlbany the lead for good. Heinge added an insurance run in the next at bat when she plated Falotico and Petzold to push the home team's lead to 11-8.

Barkevich sealed the victory with an RBI single in the sixth to score Petzold.

Game Two:

Taylor Light pitched a career-best six scoreless innings but a three-run seventh inning by the visitors led the Black Knights to a come-from-behind 3-2 victory in game two.

After leading off the game with a triple, Miramontez found her way back home with the help of an RBI single from Wade. UAlbany was able to create a 2-0 edge with a double steal that scored Miramontez and advanced Wade to second.

In the seventh, Katie Ontiveros singled to score Tessa Leman and the Black Knights cut the difference to one, 2-1. Carrie Reilly doubled two batters later to plate Annie Brock and Jolie Duong to put her team ahead 3-2.

The Great Danes threatened with a runner in the bottom of the seventh but Duong held strong in the circle to retire the side.
