Football Announces 2024 Game at West Virginia

ALBANY, N.Y. — The University at Albany football program has announced the addition of West Virginia, of the Big 12 Conference, to its future schedule of FBS opponents.

The Great Danes will be playing a Big 12 team for the first time in program history when they take on the Mountaineers at 60,000-seat Milan Puskar Stadium on Sept. 7, 2024, in Morgantown, W.Va.

A longtime college football power, West Virginia has appeared in 37 bowl games, including a 70-33 Orange Bowl victory over Clemson in 2011. The Mountaineers have made a bowl appearance in each of the past three seasons.

UAlbany has played an FBS team every season since 2015, winning against Buffalo, 22-16, in 2016. This coming fall, the Great Danes open at Central Michigan, of the Mid-American Conference.

Other future FBS games include:

2020: at UMass

2021: at Syracuse

2023: at Hawaii
