Head Coach Jon Mueller: "Today's split is typical for America East Baseball play.  The boys battled and had a chance to finish the series today.  Looking forward to tomorrow's finale."

Short Story: UAlbany's doubleheader split with Hartford came after UAlbany won a Game 1, but dropped Game 2 by one run.

Key Stats:

• Game one -Kenny McLean pitched 4.0 innings, allowing three runs on five hits with four strikeouts.
• Ray Weber pitched 2.0 innings, allowing two runs on four hits and two strikeouts.
• Joe Kruszka pitched 2.0 innings, allowing one run on three hits and one strikeout.
• Nick Kondo was 1-for-5.
• Patrick Lagravinese was 1-for-4 with two runs.

Game One:  

• UAlbany got off to a strong start, scoring two runs in the top of the first, thanks in part to Kevin Donati posting two RBIs.
• Hartford bounced back, scoring runs in the bottom of the first, second, and third.
• RBI's by Donati, Loeffler, Ocasal, and Hayden scored UAlbany five runs on five hits in the top of the sixth.
• An RBI from Marc Wangenstein gave UAlbany another run in the top of the seventh.
• Hartford scored two more runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Game 2:

• UAlbany scored a run in the top of the third inning thanks to an RBI from Kevin Donati.
• In the top of the fourth, UAlbany scored another run after an RBI from Matt Codispoti.
• Hartford scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
• A triple and double along with an RBI from Wangenstein scored UAlbany another three runs at the top of the fifth.
• Hartford scored another two runs in the bottom of the fifth
• UAlbany scored another run in the top of the sixth.
• Hartford scored another run in the bottom of the sixth and seventh.
