KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University at Albany men's soccer team drew two United Soccer Coaches All-Northeast regional selections, the association announced Monday. Austin DaSilva was named to the first team, and Konstantinos Louvaris was named to the third team.
DaSilva, a sophomore forward from Brookfield, Connecticut got his UAlbany career off to a stellar start after transferring from UConn. The sophomore finished the 2019 season earning a spot on the All-Conference First Team after leading the team and America East in goals (12) and points (25). Half of DaSilva's goals were game-winners, which ranked first nationally. The Brookfield, Connecticut native also tallied three two-goal games this season, two of which were highlighted in back-to-back wins against Hofstra and UMass Lowell.
Louvaris, a senior midfielder from Nicosia, Cyprus was the anchor to the UAlbany midfield this season. The senior played all 17 games, having the fourth most minutes on the team. The senior also tallied his first assist as a Great Dane in the 3-1 victory over Vermont earlier this season.
