Frederike Helmke started the scoring 23 minutes into the game with her first tally of the season. Katie MacCallum added a goal just six minutes later to give her team a 2-0 advantage. Elaina Burhcell added to the scoreboard with her first collegiate tally just 90 seconds later. UAlbany held a 3-0 edge at the break.
Sacred Heart struck first in the second half behind an Allie Brouhard goal in the 38th minute.
UAlbany would score twice in the final ten minutes of the game. Ghislaine Beerkens made it a 4-1 game at 64:51 before Helmke recorded her second of the game at 65:08.
Next Up: The Great Danes head back on the road for a nonconference tilt at Boston College on Sept. 9. The contest is slated to begin at 1 p.m. (ET).
