ALBANY, N.Y. - The University at Albany field hockey's Pilar Lorenzini was named Offensive Player of the Week, Wednesday.
 
A junior transfer, Lorenzini made her mark immediately leading the Great Danes in two victories over the weekend. The Mendoza, Argentina native scored half of UAlbany's six goals including the game-winner against Hofstra (Aug. 29) and the first goal against both the Pride and Wagner (Aug. 31).
 
Lorenzini's award is one of three weekly awards given out by the America East Conference following the first week of competition. This is her first award with UAlbany.
 
Lorenzini and the Great Danes are set to host New Haven today, September 3, and Columbia on Friday, September 5.
