UPDATE: Baseball at Marist Cancelled

UPDATE: Due to impending inclement weather, the UAlbany baseball game originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Marist has been cancelled. The game Wedensday, April 4, 2018 at LIU Brooklyn has not been affected.  The original story follows.

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany baseball team will look to correct its four-game skid with two midweek games at Marist and at LIU Brooklyn this Tuesday and Wednesday.

UAlbany (9-11, 1-5 AE) most recently visited Maine for the second America East series of the season. The Black Bears, who will host the 2018 America East Tournament, eliminated the Great Danes from the postseason last year.

The Great Danes were swept in three games against Maine over the weekend, and were outscored by a total of 31-4. UAlbany has lost their last four games against Maine, and has now lost their last five overall.

Marist is currently in the middle of a three-game series at Siena, having lost the first two games on Sunday with one game remaining on Monday. Last weekend, the Red Foxes took two of three from Monmouth and then defeated UMass Lowell during the week.

LIU Brooklyn most recently swept Fairleigh Dickinson in their second NEC series of the season. The previous week, the Blackbirds fell at the hands of Stony Brook.

UAlbany has now fallen to 1-5 in the America East and are currently in seventh place, one game behind sixth place Binghamton. UMBC and Maine share the conference lead with 4-2 America East records. Stony Brook has the only winning overall record in the conference at 14-10.

Following these two games, the Danes will host Hartford for three games starting on Saturday.
