How it Happened:
- After loading the bases, UAlbany put up four runs in the top of the first courtesy of a Levi McAllister RBI single, a 2 RBI single from Jackson Mueller that advanced McAllister to third, and a Brian Guerrero RBI single to make it 4-0 after one.
- NJIT got on the board in the top of the second with a sac fly to make it 4-1.
- The Highlanders added another run in the top of the third to cut the lead to 4-2.
- NJIT got a pair across in the top of the fourth to tie it up at four a piece.
- The Great Danes retook the lead in the bottom of the fifth on a Tre Mariano two-RBI single to make it 6-4.
- The Highlanders cut the lead in half with a solo homerun in the top of the seventh to make it 6-5.
- UAlbany pushed the lead back to two when John Vitucci roped a double into right to score Mueller and make it 7-5.
- NJIT was unable to score in the top of the ninth, and the Great Danes walked away with a 7-5 win.
