Indoor Track Wraps Last Chance Meet

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.—The University at Albany track and field program traveled to the Ocean Breeze Complex for the final time to compete in the Fastrack Last Chance meet. The meet also served as the last competition before the ECAC and IC4A Indoor Championships.
In the men's 400-meter race, Jason Tomlinson placed third overall, running a 47.87. Nichole Anderson earned fourth in the 60-hurdles in 9.05.
The men's 4x800-relay of Austin Sperl, Harold Lamour, Matthew Gladysz, and Zachary Cook ran a collective time of 7:46.53, hitting the IC4A standard.
Hannah Smith placed fourth in the women's 3,000-meter run with a time 10:07.09.
Colonel Fakorode won the men's triple jump with an IC4A qualifying mark of 48' 5.5". David Henry Jr. placed sixth with a mark of 44' 4".
Chinwe Igwe placed first overall in the women's weight throw with a mark of 59' 2.25". David Carlson placed fourth in the men's weight throw with a mark of 57' 7", hitting the IC4A standard.
Matthew Campbell won the men's high jump with a mark of 6' 10.25".
Anika Hibbard took fifth in the women's high jump with a mark of 5' 7". Solène Bastien placed seventh with a mark of 5' 5", followed by Letti Hibbard in eighth also clearing 5' 5".
Next up for the Great Danes are the ECAC and IC4A Indoor Championships at Boston University. The three-day meet will begin on Friday, March 4 and conclude on Sunday, March 6.
