BUFFALO, N.Y. – Following a two-year stint as an assistant coach for the Great Danes, Niagara University announced earlier this week that Bill Boyle is the new head coach for the Purple Eagles, effective immediately.

“Everyone within the UAlbany Soccer program is excited for Bill,” said University at Albany head coach Trevor Gorman.  “It's a testament to the success of our program that we're able to send him on to be a Division I head coach. We thank him for his outstanding commitment to the Great Danes these past two years, and know that he'll do a great job at Niagara.”

Boyle helped the Purple & Gold to the program's first America East regular season title in 2015. He was a member of the 2015 America East Coaching Staff of the Year after UAlbany posted a six-win turnaround this past season. He joined the Danes after serving as an assistant at Colgate from 2011-14.
