Women's Lacrosse Downs William & Mary 14-3

WILLIAMSBURG,VA.- University at Albany women's lacrosse (6-0) earned its sixth straight victory on Tuesday afternoon, 14-3. Rachel Bowles and Nichole Eamer scored four goals each to lead UAlbany.
The Great Danes went on a three-goal run to open the first half, taking the lead to start the game for the first time in three games. Eamer scored the first unassisted, followed by Katherine Sweeney from Bowles. Bowles notched an unassisted goal to make the score 3-0 with 18 minutes left in the first.
The Tribe managed an unassisted goal before the Purple & Gold scored three goals to close the half. Dakotah Savitcheff found the back of the cage from Bowles, and Ariana Parker scored her first goal of three two minutes later. Eamer found Bowles for the score to give the Great Danes a 6-1 lead at the break.
Bowles scored again to open the second half, and UAlbany went on a four-goal run six minutes later. Parker recorded an unassisted goal, Bowles converted on a free position shot, and Eamer and Maureen Keggins scored unassisted in the run for UAlbany.
Eamer and Parker concluded scoring for UAlbany with five minutes left to take the 14-3 win over the Tribe.
UAlbany was a perfect 12-12 on clears and out-shot the Tribe 27-14. The Great Danes also posted a 12-7 advantage on draw controls, with Kathleen Lennon and Meghan Haney taking four apiece.
Anna Berman recorded four saves and three goals against. The senior is allowing just 6.67 goals per game in UAlbany's 6-0 start.
The Great Danes continue their 2014 schedule against Hofstra (5-4) at John Fallon Field on Saturday, March 22 at noon.
