UAlbany Falls Short To Boston U., 2-1; Brandon Wilson Nets Lone Goal

Albany, N.Y.- With a loose ball inside the goalkeeper box, Boston U.'s Dominique Badji netted the game-winning goal in the 67th minute to defeat UAlbany, 2-1. The Great Danes are winless in their last nine matches with two conference matches left. UAlbany plays Vermont on the road then back home against New Hampshire for Senior Day.
     Boston U. (8-7-0, AE 4-1-0) took control of the match early as Stephen Knox dribbled just outside the 10 yard box and made a crossing pass through two UAlbany defenders to give Ben Berube his first goal of the season and the 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
     UAlbany (4-8-3, AE 0-2-3) responded with a quick score of its own in the 30th minute. As Jeff Pierre was pinned on the backline by a Boston U. defender, he made a quick pass to an open Brandon Wilson who tallied his second goal of the season and tied the game up at 1-1.
     The Terriers took control of the match in the second half with Dominique Badji picking up the loose ball in front of the net to score his fourth goal of the season and the eventual game-winning goal in the 67th minute. Boston U. led in shots, 7-2 and in corner kicks, 3-0, in the second half.
     Overall, Boston U. lead in shots on net, 3-2, and in corner kicks, 5-1. UAlbany's Adrian Foncette recorded three saves on five chances. Boston U.'s Nick Thomson tallied two saves on three chances.
