UAlbany Falls To Lehigh, 2-0; The Great Danes Look Forward To Boston U. On Saturday

Bethlehem, Pa.- Kevin Strunk struck the game-winning goal in the 66th minute to lead Lehigh to a 2-0 victory over UAlbany on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The Great Danes look ahead to league play against Boston U. on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 pm at Varsity Field.
     The first half of the match was dominated by defense as both teams ended the half in a scoreless tie. Lehigh (6-2-5) led in shots, 9-4 and in corners, 4-1.
     The Mountain Hawks took over in the second half as Strunk found the loose ball inside the box and netted the first goal to grab the lead, 1-0, in the 66th minute. Then five minutes later in the 71st minute, Brian Suchoski managed to get open just enough at the top of the box to strike an insurance goal for Lehigh to put the game at 2-0.
     UAlbany (4-7-3) totaled nine shots in the game with one corner kick. Ciaran Nugent tallied two saves and a shutout for Lehigh. Scott Kessler notched his third start of the season while recording six saves on eight chances.
