UALBANY ANNOUNCES MEN'S BASKETBALL TELEVISION SCHEDULE FOR 2006-07 SEASON

     Albany, N.Y. ? University at Albany Vice President and Director of Athletics Lee McElroy announced on Tuesday, Nov. 7 the school's men's basketball television schedule for the 2006-07 season.  The Great Danes will appear six times on the America East Conference package, while Time Warner Cable will televise five games.  UAlbany's meeting with No. 18 Connecticut, a rematch of last year's NCAA first-round game, will also be seen on Fox Sports New York and ESPN Full Court .

     America East and ESPN Regional Television will team up to produce and distribute games throughout the conference's geographical footprint.  The telecasts will also be available on-line via video streaming at AmericaEast.com, through the conference's multi-media partner, XOS Technologies.  UAlbany has three home dates, New Hampshire (Jan. 3), Binghamton (Feb. 3) and Boston U. (Feb. 25), on the schedule.  Three conference away games, Vermont (Jan. 13), Boston U. (Jan. 24) and Maine (Feb. 7), will also be televised.

     Time Warner Cable will offer five games on its TW3 channel, starting with a non-conference home game against St. Bonaventure on Dec. 16.  The TW3 package also features Stony Brook (Jan. 15), Hartford (Jan. 21) UMBC (Jan. 31) and Vermont (Feb. 11).

     Time Warner Cable serves more than 400,000 customers in the Capital Region and western Massachusetts.  TWC's Albany Division operates one of the most sophisticated cable systems in the nation and is home to New York 's first two-way digital network.
