  • Participated in several community service events through school - tutoring, babysitting at school events, volunteering at fundraising and awareness events, etc
  • Involved with several organizations while in high school - National Honor Society, Health and Sports Editor (school newspaper, Panorama), coached with Gateway FIeld Hockey, Dance Marathon, Best Buddies 
 

Why did you choose UAlbany?

I chose UAlbany because of the great team environment, coaches, and campus. It felt like a great blend of competitive athletics and strong academics. 
 

Sykes on Derdoy

Victoria is our third player from the St. Louis area, having played for Gateway Field Hockey and a legendary coach in Kelly Yates. She is a very athletic, fast, and clever player. She will be joining a very good attacking unit that should produce a lot of goals. Victoria is also an experienced lacrosse player and will be playing for the Argentinian National Team at the [2026] World Cup in Japan.
